Use BitterClip from your AI assistant

You connect BitterClip to Claude or ChatGPT, then ask the assistant to find a source-backed moment and prepare it for review. In Claude, the assistant can carry that through to an editable Clip and a rendered video. In ChatGPT, what a custom connection can change depends on your plan and workspace; when it can only read, it can still browse Episodes, read transcripts, and open the workspace when the host supports it, and you continue the edit in BitterClip's browser.

BitterClip turns a recorded conversation into a finished episode and the clips from it. You bring the recording; it transcribes every word tied to the moment it was spoken and reads the whole session. Its built-in agent makes the cut, and you keep directing it in plain words or by editing the transcript. Every cut stays linked to the exact moment it came from, so nothing is a guess. What you can ask for

Once your assistant is connected, you can just ask in plain words. Try:

"Pull up my latest interview and find the strongest moment."

Your assistant can inspect the Episode and point to a promising stretch. With a connection that supports write actions, it can save a review point and prepare the Episode editor. Review the source, then ask it to make a Clip or adjust a cut.

You don't have to phrase it any particular way. "Pull up my interview," "suggest moments worth posting," and "cut the part where she talks about pricing" all work. The assistant reads the transcript and proposes moments for you to choose from. A connection with write actions can save a review point and prepare the editor for you.

What your assistant can do for you

These are a handful of the things you can ask for once you're connected. Ask for a specific cut, then inspect or revise the source-backed result in the editor. BitterClip does not silently pick a "strong clip" for you; your request supplies the direction. A connection with write actions can also prepare an upload handoff for a Recording you choose to add.

How it connects

There's nothing to install and nothing to run on your computer. You point your assistant at https://app.bitterclip.com/mcp, and it opens a normal browser window so you can sign in to BitterClip. You do that once. After that your assistant can reach your recordings whenever you ask, and your account stays on BitterClip's own site.

What lives in chat, and what lives in the web app

Your assistant helps find, review, and tune clips with you. Where the selected connection allows writes, it can prepare a post and open the exact package for review. Final confirmation happens in BitterClip.

Nothing posts until you set it up

You stay in control of what goes out. Nothing gets posted until you set up a channel first, and connecting one just lets BitterClip post on your behalf when you ask it to.

Every prepared post waits for review in BitterClip:

Check the exact video, post copy, destination, and account.
Confirm that package in BitterClip before it can be sent.

Your account, your plan, and your payment details always live on BitterClip's own site, and nothing you connect can reach them.

Connect your assistant

Both assistants connect to the same BitterClip account, but their setup rules differ.

Using Claude? Add it in one click:

Add BitterClip to Claude. Claude opens its Add custom connector window with BitterClip's name and address already filled in. Check that the address is https://app.bitterclip.com/mcp, click Continue, then sign in to BitterClip. Claude warns that the connector came from an external link; that is expected while BitterClip is not yet listed in Claude's directory.

The connect page has one-click setup for Claude, ChatGPT and Claude Code, and shows what's connected when you're signed in.

Connect Claude: add BitterClip under Customize → Connectors, sign in, then enable it for the conversation where you need it.
Connect ChatGPT: BitterClip isn't in ChatGPT's plugin directory yet, so you add it as a custom app in Developer mode.

Connecting is all you need. BitterClip's built-in Agent already receives the editing skills. For Claude Code and Codex, an optional plugin provides those skills alongside the connection.
