The clip that starts half a word late

You have ninety minutes of a good conversation and about three hours of dread. So you upload it, thirty clips come back, and most of them are fine. Then you watch the four you want to post. One starts half a word late. One ends mid-sentence. And now you're in the editor anyway, which is the thing you were paying not to do.

Vizard says so itself. Its own help docs say the AI "will stop in the middle of a sentence" and call it "some glitch in ChatGPT that we cannot fix." From there you can push the boundary out sentence by sentence, put struck-out transcript text back, select the segments by hand, or give Vizard Agent direction for another revision.

BitterClip starts from the assumption that the first cut is a draft, and drafts get changed. Select words in the transcript and a real edit happens. Cuts follow the transcript's word timings, so you cut on the word rather than near it. Something's off, you say what's wrong and fix the cut you have. You went too far, undo takes you back. A review link you sent your co-host plays the exact version you sent, never a later one, for up to two weeks. There's nothing to run again, because nothing got thrown away.

Your own AI runs the whole editor

Vizard has a real API — submit a long video, pull the clips back out, polish the short ones, though the editing endpoint refuses anything three minutes or longer. It's a pipeline. Video in, clips out. Vizard Agent takes direction too, on Vizard's own site.

BitterClip works the other way around. ChatGPT, Claude or Codex can run the whole editing workbench — trims, camera switches, captions, music cues — and so can BitterClip's own agent in the editor. Type "cut the tangent at 14:20 and tighten the intro" and what comes back is an ordinary edit: open it, nudge it by hand, undo it. The last ten percent of clip work is the annoying part, and that's where asking, in the assistant you already use, pays off.
