How we make money

From the subscription, by building a good workbench, not by reselling AI. The built-in agent costs what OpenRouter billed for each request plus a flat 15%, which covers OpenRouter's fees, card processing and requests that fail after they're billed. Your own ChatGPT or Claude can run the whole editor on the plan you already pay for. We run the company lean, so the subscription is enough.

Cancel, and your posts go view-only
After you cancel you can still see your posts but cannot download, schedule, or publish them, and anything already scheduled will not go out. The Terms give you 30 days after your subscription ends to get your content and deliverables out; after that, Munch may permanently delete them.

Section 8.2 of the Terms has you "acknowledge, instruct, and agree" to Munch using your Content to train its AI systems, scoped to providing the services to you, with a stated carve-out that it won't train on non-public personal data. Munch rebranded to Munch Studio on December 31, 2025 and turned from an AI clipper into a full AI social-media-marketing suite. getmunch.com now redirects to munchstudio.com, and clipping survives as a monthly minute quota inside the new product. Existing accounts, projects, and clips carried over automatically.

On December 31, 2025, GetMunch became Munch Studio. getmunch.com redirects there now, and the pitch changed from AI clipping to "the AI that does your social media marketing for you." Accounts, projects, and clips carried over — but clipping is now one quota, 500 minutes a month on the $48 Essential plan, inside a suite built around writing posts and putting them out.

That is a different product from the clipper many people signed up for. If you came to get clips out of your recordings, clipping is now one part of what you pay for.

The loop you're leaving: editing clips and generating another selection

You finish a 90-minute conversation. Munch hands back a batch. One clip is close. Munch lets you extend a clip by up to 30 seconds at either end, adjust its framing and remove silences; Re-Munch generates another selection once you change at least one setting. BitterClip lets you cut dialogue in the transcript and direct changes to the existing cut.

Your recording is the reference: cuts follow the transcript's word timings, so you cut on the word, not near it. When a cut is 90% right, you say what is wrong, something like "the intro drags, lose the sponsor tangent," and that same cut gets tightened. Undo works all the way back. Every clip remembers where it came from, so one click jumps you to that spot in the full recording, and the review link you sent your co-host on Tuesday still plays that exact version on Thursday, never a later one, for up to two weeks.

You can also just read your way through it. The transcript is the edit: find the tangent in the words, select it, delete it, and it is gone from the video. Then one tap makes the vertical version, captions and timing carried across, and if a word came through wrong you fix that word.

Automation pointed at the edit

Munch automates outward. Connect your accounts and it posts for you. There is no public API, webhook, or assistant surface in the docs — you work in their dashboard, and the AI works on your calendar.
