### Refunds require that you never used it

Monthly plans refund only if you cancel within 7 days of payment and did not use the platform during those days. Annual plans refund within the first 14 days (including the trial) only if unused after the trial ended. Outside those windows there is no refund; access runs to the end of the billing period.

### Cancel, and your posts go view-only

After you cancel you can still see your posts but cannot download, schedule, or publish them, and anything already scheduled will not go out. The Terms give you 30 days after your subscription ends to get your content and deliverables out; after that, Munch may permanently delete them.

### You agree to let your content train their AI

Section 8.2 of the Terms has you "acknowledge, instruct, and agree" to Munch using your Content to train its AI systems, scoped to providing the services to you, with a stated carve-out that it won't train on non-public personal data. The same section keeps the content license service-scoped and limited to your subscription term — narrower than much of the industry.

## Munch isn't a clipping tool anymore

On December 31, 2025, GetMunch became Munch Studio. getmunch.com redirects there now, and the pitch changed from AI clipping to "the AI that does your social media marketing for you." Accounts, projects, and clips carried over — but clipping is now one metered quota, 500 minutes a month on the $48 Essential plan, inside a suite whose real job is writing posts and putting them out.

That is a legitimate product. It is also a different product. If you signed up to get clips out of your recordings, the thing you came for is now a side feature of the tool you pay for. That is the honest reason this page exists.

## The loop you're leaving is roll-again-and-hope

You finish a 90-minute conversation. Munch hands back a batch. One clip is close. So you Extend Clip — 30 seconds at either end, that is the ceiling — and reframe with Manual Crop, and when it is still not right, the documented path is Re-Munch: a new batch, and you have to change at least one setting to get it. You never fix the clip in front of you. You re-roll and re-watch, and the version that almost existed in batch one never comes back.

BitterClip starts somewhere else. Your recording is the reference, so cuts land on the word, not near it — no clipped syllables, no half-swallowed first word. When a cut is 90% right, you say what is wrong, something like "the intro drags, lose the sponsor tangent," and that same cut gets tightened. Undo works all the way back. Every clip remembers where it came from, so one click jumps you to that spot in the full recording, and the review link you sent your co-host on Tuesday still plays the exact version they watched on Thursday.

You can also just read your way through it. The transcript is the edit: find the tangent in the words, select it, delete it, and it is gone from the video. Then one tap makes the vertical version, captions and timing carried across, and if a word came through wrong you fix that word.

## Asking for an edit, not asking an assistant

Munch automates outward. Connect your accounts and it posts for you. There is no public API, webhook, or assistant surface in the docs — you work in their dashboard, and the AI works on your calendar.

BitterClip points the automation at the edit itself. Anything you can click in the editor, you can ask for in ChatGPT or Claude instead.
