# Compare BitterClip

Canonical HTML page: https://bitterclip.com/compare

Markdown version: https://bitterclip.com/compare.md

BitterClip turns a recorded conversation into a finished cut and clips. Plenty of tools overlap with some of that. These pages give an honest read on each one — including the parts where they beat us.

## Head-to-head comparisons

Each matchup has its own page. Add `.md` to any URL for the Markdown version.

## How these are written

**Every claim is sourced.** Prices, limits, and terms come from the other product's own pricing, help, and legal pages, linked so you can check them.

**We say where we lose.** Every page marks which tool each row favours. If the other product wins it — recording, breadth, price, whatever it is — the page says so.

**They carry a date.** Software changes weekly. Each page states when we last checked it.

## What BitterClip is for

Turning recorded conversations into finished cuts and clips. Record straight into a project from your browser — camera and mic on a laptop or phone, or your screen in desktop Chrome, up to 1080p — or bring footage you already shot from a phone, Zoom, Riverside, or a camera. It is built for sessions of roughly 20 minutes to 2 hours: podcasts, interviews, coaching calls, workshops.

The recorder is one signed-in person on one device. There are no remote guests, no guest recording links, and no separate per-participant tracks — for recording someone over the internet, a dedicated remote-recording tool is better.

You edit by selecting words in the transcript and deleting them, and the cut lands on the word rather than near it. Anything you can click, you can ask for instead — in ChatGPT, Claude, any MCP client, or the editor — and what comes back is a normal edit you can keep changing by hand or undo. Up to five cameras. Captions, music, brand openers and outros. One tap makes the vertical version.

Pricing: Creator begins with a card-required seven-day trial: $0 today, then $24/month unless canceled before it ends. After Bitter Checkout accepts the payment method and starts the trial, Billing shows the provider-owned exact cancel-before time. Bring one recording up to two hours; the trial includes $5 of agent work for analysis, the First Cut, and direction while balance remains. Trial exports are watermarked; clean exports unlock after the first paid charge. Add exactly $20, $50, or $100 of agent work during an active trial or paid plan. Top-ups never auto-activate paid Creator; early activation requires a separate explicit $24 authorization. Paid Creator includes 10 source-footage hours, $10 of included agent work, and files up to 4 GB. Producer is $99/month with 40 source-footage hours, $40 of included agent work, larger files, and priority rendering. If you cancel, your source material, edits, purchased agent work, and completed work stay available.
